The 2025 property assessments are now available on the City website at cityofmadison.com/assessor.

There are multiple closures and hours changes taking place during the month of May at Central Library and other Madison Public Library locations. The community is invited to attend Madison Public Library 150th Anniversary parties.

As part of the North Shore Drive Path project, South Bedford Street will be closed at North Shore Drive starting on Monday, May 12 to construct a raised crossing for the path across South Bedford Street.

The first Madison Night Market of 2025 will be held on Thursday, May 8, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the heart of downtown. This is the first of five markets for the 8th Annual Madison Night Market season.

Saturday, April 26 will be very busy downtown. In addition to the Dane County Farmers’ Market, the annual Crazylegs Classic and the annual Mifflin Street Block Party will be taking place.

Starting Wednesday, April 2, East Wilson Street will be fully closed between King Street and South Pinckney Street for the continuation of the East Wilson Street reconstruction project.

Capitol Lakes proposes to redevelop the property at 345 W. Main Street. The existing Community Based Residential Facility would be demolished, and a new, four-story apartment building for older adults would be constructed.

The Madison Engineering Division seeks community input on the study. The public is encouraged to give feedback during a virtual public information meeting on Tuesday, March 18 at 6:30 p.m.

The snow emergency for the evening of Monday, February 17 into the morning of Tuesday, February 18 has been canceled.

The City of Madison has declared a snow emergency. This means alternate side parking restrictions will be in effect in the downtown snow emergency zone as well as the rest of the City of Madison.
