  • Special Event Traffic Impacts

    Saturday, April 26 will be very busy downtown. In addition to the Dane County Farmers’ Market, the annual Crazylegs Classic and the annual Mifflin Street Block Party will be taking place.

    Starting Wednesday, April 2, East Wilson Street will be fully closed between King Street and South Pinckney Street for the continuation of the East Wilson Street reconstruction project.

  • Neighborhood Meeting: Proposed Redevelopment of 345 West Main Street

    Capitol Lakes proposes to redevelop the property at 345 W. Main Street. The existing Community Based Residential Facility would be demolished, and a new, four-story apartment building for older adults would be constructed.

  • Near West Watershed Study Public Meeting

    The Madison Engineering Division seeks community input on the study. The public is encouraged to give feedback during a virtual public information meeting on Tuesday, March 18 at 6:30 p.m.

    The snow emergency for the evening of Monday, February 17 into the morning of Tuesday, February 18 has been canceled.

  • Madison Snow Emergency Declared

    The City of Madison has declared a snow emergency. This means alternate side parking restrictions will be in effect in the downtown snow emergency zone as well as the rest of the City of Madison.

    A snow emergency remains in effect for the entire City of Madison until 7:00 a.m. Friday, February 14. Residents are asked to keep their vehicles off the street tonight if possible.
